Participation in the KVKK & Regulatory Compliance Association Workshop themed “The 10th Anniversary of Data Protection: A Future Perspective in the Light of the GDPR”
As GRC LEGAL Strategy & Compliance, we participated in the KVKK & Regulatory Compliance Association Workshop themed “The 10th Anniversary of Data Protection: A Future Perspective in the Light of GDPR”, organised in collaboration with the Regulatory Compliance Association and the Personal Data Protection Authority.
Held on 13 March 2026 at the Prof. Nezih Eldem Conference Hall, ITU Taşkışla Campus, with the support of the ITU Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Application and Research Centre, the workshop comprehensively addressed the transformation in the field of personal data protection over the past decade, the perspective of compliance with the GDPR, the future of the data protection regime, and the new compliance dynamics facing organisations.
Hosted by Ceren Beyen from our team, the programme provided public sector representatives, academics and compliance professionals with the opportunity to assess current developments in the field of data protection and the practical needs arising from these.
Additionally, Burak Şenol, Chairman of the Board of the Regulatory Compliance Association and Chairman of the Advisory Board at GRC LEGAL, shared his insights on the transformation in the data protection sector, regulatory approaches, and the future of the compliance perspective.
We would like to thank the Personal Data Protection Authority, the Regulatory Compliance Association and all contributing stakeholders for this valuable event, which brought together experts from various disciplines in the field of data protection and provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience.
