Contents
ToggleOrganised by the Turkey Internal Audit Institute (TİDE) / IIA Turkey on 1–2 October 2025, the International XXIX. Within the scope of the Turkey Internal Audit Congress, our mentor, Advisory Board Chairman and Legislation Compliance Association Board Chairman Mr Burak Şenol contributed as a speaker to the session titled ‘The Conscience of the Institution: Building Ethics, Compliance and Reputation Together’.
During the session, it was emphasised that ethical principles, compliance mechanisms and corporate reputation are complementary elements; it was stated that compliance should not be limited to mere formal adherence to legislation, but rather should be an area of governance that must be addressed end-to-end across the organisation.
In this context, Mr Burak Şenol stated that
‘Compliance must be addressed end-to-end. The attitude of senior management, technological investments and a risk-based approach are essential for a strong compliance culture.’
He particularly emphasised that senior management ownership, technology-supported processes and a risk-based approach are the fundamental components of a sustainable compliance and ethics culture.
